"Bloody hell, Red!" Spike bellowed. "Tell me again why I agreed to this soddin thing."
"Because she threatened to cut you off for a week if you didn’t. And because you still don’t trust me alone with her," Angel replied with a smile.
"Oh yeah," Spike muttered. "You two are always bloody ganging up on me." He pouted angrily until Willow breezed into the room.
"Come on, Spike," she whispered, wrapping her arms around his waist and kissing him softly on the lips. "It’s just for a couple of hours. Then we can come back here and…" Willow left the promise dangling in front of Spike, and Spike bit hard.
"All right, pet. But you’re going to owe me big for this."
Willow grinned wickedly at him before grabbing both vampires by the hand and dragging them out of the house.

Several hours later, the trio finally made it back to the house. As Spike stripped down to his black boxers, Willow collapsed on the couch.
"Spike, that was terrible. You didn’t have to complain the entire time."
"He didn’t, Willow. Part of the time he was getting sloshed," Angel replied.
"You didn’t say I had to enjoy myself, Red. You just said I had to go," Spike argued. He moved to the couch and collapsed onto the couch next to Willow.
Angel laughed. "He’s right, Willow. From now on you’d better make your demands a little more specific."
"Oh, like you were a barrel of laughs, Peaches. You spent half your time letting the damn slayer and her little farm boy draw you into their sick little jealousy routine. At least I hung around to keep Red company."
"How could you keep her company from the inside of a liquor bottle?"
"Boys!" Willow yelled. "Let’s just all chalk this night up to being a disaster and forget about it. And from now on, I’ll think twice before bringing you out in public." Willow stomped out of the living room and down the hall to the bedroom.
She shook her head wearily as she listened to her two vampires continue to argue. She had planned everything so perfectly. She had gone as a stereotypical witch complete with an awful-smelling black wig and a fake wart on her nose. Spike had dressed up as a railroad worker (the closest thing she could get to a railroad spike considering Spike’s considerable complaints), and Angel had gone as (of course) an angel.
Everyone had loved their costumes when they arrived, but the part rapidly went downhill after that. Spike had discovered Giles liquor cabinet and had proceeded to get roaring drunk, eventually sloshing over the punch while spouting insults at everyone but Willow. He had only begun to sober up when they finally cut him off, and then he was wired from all the candy he’d eaten instead of handing it out when kids knocked on the door. Angel, on the other hand, had gotten into a figurative pissing contest with Riley as the two tried desperately to one up each other with witty remarks. And Buffy hadn’t helped, egging the two on while Willow was distracted by Spike’s antics. The whole evening had just been a complete disaster.
"Luv?" Spike’s voice called softly. Willow glanced to the bedroom doorway where the two vampires stood looking sheepish and guilty.
"We’re sorry about the way we behaved, Willow. We know how much you wanted to enjoy tonight."
Willow sighed. "It’s okay, guys. I just wish you two would try to get along with my friends a little more. All of them," she said, staring at the pair sternly.
"Well, anyway, Red, we know we screwed things up at the party. But there is still something we can do to try and make it up to you."
Willow stared at the two curiously, a slight smile inching its way across her face.
Spike and Angel exchanged a grin before Angel flipped out the lights. Willow burst into laughter as the words "Bite me" appeared in greenish fluorescent letters across the fronts of two pairs of boxers. Her eyes remained fixed on the glowing words as the two advanced on her. "Happy Halloween, pet," Spike murmured.
Willow shook her head in the dark at her lovers. "It just better get happier," she said with a giggle. Moment later, two pairs of novelty boxers began to slowly dim from their place on the floor as Spike and Angel proceeded to show the redhead just how happy they could make her.
