Disclaimer: OK, this is how it is, I wrote the song, but the characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer belong to Joss Whendon, and who ever else gets credit for that. Please don't sue, I am constantly broke. The characters Alison and Juan are mine.
Dedications: to my wonderful boyfriend, who caused me to write this song as well as this fic, I think I may love you honey, and to Charity, who is so great because even when I write stupid fic like this one she might post it. Oh and don't let me forget the dancing hippo, which is the coolest thing in the world.
Author's Notes: Ok, this story takes place AU, almost completely. Spike didn't come to Sunnydale until after the Scooby Gang went to college, and he never brought Dru, because she died in the mob at Prague. (Sorry Dru fans) This story takes place at the Bronze one evening, where a new band is playing. Tara and Dawn don't exist, so sorry Dawn and Tara fans. Oh, and by the way, Angel's soul is permanant thanks to our wonderful hero Willow. If you would like to know the rest of the song, please e-mail me and I'll send it to you. Sorry this is so short, but the idea had been flying around the back of my head and the best way to get rid of ideas is to run with them.
Feedback: I always love it, send me lots, I can't get enough of it!
Willow sighed as she sat down at the bar. Another day had gone by and she still hadn't figured out what was wrong with her love life. Willow knew that she wasn't bad looking, even if she wasn't great looking, and she knew that guys in college supposedly liked girls who were smart, but that didn't mean that she had met anyone. Willow took a deep swallow of the soda she had ordered, contemplating her life. She was the head of her class, she had great friends who liked her for her, and she saved the world on a regular basis. But that didn't mean her personal life didn't suck. Willow looked at the dance floor, seeing Xander dancing to slow song with yet another girl, and Buffy and Angel slow dancing in a dark corner, gazing into each others eyes. Willow felt another sigh escape her. She was so lonely. Willow decided then that she would give up on the whole love thing, if it happened, it happened. Willow finished her soda, and as she walked out the door to the Bronze, she bumped into two people coming in the door.
"Excuse me," Willow said. She looked at the people and saw a blond young woman and a dark young man. Willow managed to smile at them.
"We're sorry, we didn't mean to bump into you like that," said the blond. "Hi, my name is Alison."
"And I am Juan," said the dark young man.
Willow smiled at them, "I'm Willow."
Alison smiled at Willow, "It's nice to meet you, are you going to be here tomorrow night?"
Willow shrugged.
Juan said, "We are preforming tomorrow night and would like you to come out. It would be cool to hang out with you after the set." Willow said that she would come, surprised to meet such friendly people. She left after talking to them for a little while, they seemed really nice, just eager to make friends. Apparently Alison was still in college, and Juan had already graduated. He was going to work while she went to school. Willow also found out that Juan and Alison had been dating since she was 17 and he was 24, and that they had been living together since her parents died when she was 18. Willow thought about the young couple, who were 28 and 21 now. They seemed really nice, and she looked forward to seeing them the next evening. Little did she know that there was a pair of blue eyes following her as she went home.

Willow entered the Bronze the next night, with Buffy, Angel, and Xander close behind her. They wanted to meet this mysterious couple she had met the night before. Angel was convinced that they were demons of some type, Buffy just thought they were bad news, and Xander was there because he wanted to meet that girl he had danced with the night before. Willow walked up to the band manager, and found out that Juan and Alison were on next. Willow walked over to the Scooby Gangs normal table, all the while Angel and Buffy telling her how she really shouldn't trust these people. Willow ordered a soda and waited patiently for the couple to come on. She totally ignored Buffy and Angel. After the band that was playing then left, Alison and Juan appeared on stage. Juan was carrying a guitar, and Alison was taking her place at the microphone. As the opening strands of a slow song came on, Willow felt a hand tap her on the shoulder. She turned to see a blond haired, blue eyed man standing behind her.
"Hello Luv, might you be wanting to dance?" the blond haired man said. Willow nodded, and then allowed him to lead her out onto the dance floor. The song was picking up, and as the refrain came on Willowcouldn't help but lean her head against the blond haired man's shoulder.
*And I don't belive in love at first sight
but I can't explain loving you
feel like I've always known you
but I know that that's not true
I know it is impossible
but I think I may love you
and I would love to tell you
but I won't
I don't want to scare you*
Willow moved in time to the music with the man. She liked the song. The man seemed to like it as well. As the song ended, and everyone started clapping the man pulled away from Willow.
"Well Luv, I loved dancing with you, but I have to go now. I hope that I will see you again soon," the man said as he began to walk away.
Willow cried after the man, "Wait, tell me your name."
The man turned around and met Willow's green eyes with his blue ones, "Spike," was all he said before walking off. Willow watched him leave, only to turn back to the stage to see what was going on. On stage, she saw that Alison and Juan were getting ready for their next song. Alison took a sip of water, and while she was away from the mike, Juan stepped up to it. He took Alison's hand.
"Alison," Juan said into the mike, "I love you, and I need to know..." Juan got down on one knee, "will you marry me?" Alison cried, and so did Willow, it was incredibly sweet of Juan. Alison accepted, and they sang a few more songs before leaving the stage. Willow felt so happy for the couple. As long as they had been dating, it was about time they were married. Plua, Willow had just met a great guy who really seemed to like her. As Willow left that evening, she thoughts revolved around the young man who had just left. 'Spike' Willow thought to herself as she drifted off to sleep.

Willow sighed with happiness. She had just come home from a date with Spike. Buffy didn't know that she had a boyfriend yet, so Willow didn't have to worry about getting the fifth degree from her. And yesterday, Juan and Alison had gotten married. Willow had been asked to be a bridesmaid, and to tell you the truth, Willow had never seen a couple so happy just to be around each other. ALison had been beautiful, Juan had looked handsome, the wedding was large, but tasteful, and Willow had never seen someone as happy as Alison that day. Or Juan for that matter. Spike had come to the reception, he said that he couldn't make the wedding, and Alison and Juan had invited him for Willow's sake, who they had become very close friends with. Willow thought back to the night that she had met the couple and thought about what she had decided. ' I guess this just proves that you can't go looking for love, only just allow it to find you,' Willow thought happily as she went to bed.
