Disclaimer: I don't own any characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, and I am not writing this for monetary profit. (If Spike belonged to me, do you really think that I would let Buffy near him? H*** NO!)
Feedback: I love it, I live for it, please send me some.
Archive: Bite Me...Please? Midnight's Garden. Anyone else, please ask first.
Dedications: To everyone who has given me feedback in the past, and to Charity, who posts my fic even when it's stupid.
Author's Notes: I'm really sorry about not writing for so long. I was trying to add onto the "Fortune's Children" series, but I'm kinda stuck. Just for your information, Tara doesn't exist, Oz left Willow and she isn't quite over it, Buffy is a bitch( wait, that is true, nevermind) Xander and Anya are together, Buffy is with Riley. In this story, Spike never got the chip, so he's still the Big Bad.
Author's Notes 2: I'm going to try and keep the characters true to their personalities in this story, so don't expect Spike to turn into a nice guy in this.
Willow sighed. It had been a long day. Not only did she have finals in all her classes this week, 2 of them were today, and after she took her finals she headed straight to the magic shop to research something called "Amuyu" which was the project that Spike was supposedly working on now. Willow hadn't been able to find anything besides stuff they already had known, so it was thankless work. Willow walked home alone underneath the brightly lit sky. While it was night, it seemed brighter then usual due to the full moon. Willow sighed again at this thought. She still couldn't get over Oz. It had been over a year since he left. *Well, it's not like there is anyone to replace hm in my affections anyway,* Willow rationalized to herself. With that thought, she thought of the blond vampire who was giving them so much trouble lately. Xander and her had run into him the other night, and while Xander had been knocked out cold and left lying on the ground, Willow had been face to face with Spike. Spike had walked up to Willow and she had froze in fear, she couldn't move. Spike had wrapped his arms around her waist and stared into her eyes before turning her head to the side and putting his game face on. Willow remembered her terror as she had readied herself to be bitten, and she also remembered her surprise when Spike didn't bite her but instead licked her neck and nibbled on it gently, leaving a large mark on her neck that looked exactly like a hickey. Willow shook the thought away as she continued on her way home. She turned suddenly when she thought she heard someone behind her. Willow looked up and down the dimly lit street and saw no one. *Probably just my imagination* Willow thought and continued forward towards home.
***************************************************************
Spike leaned back into the shadows as the red head turned to look behind her. He couldn't have the witch see him now. He leaned back around and saw she was still walking towards her house, and not looking towards him. He followed her the rest of the way home and watched as she let herself into her house. Spike watched as the light in one bedroom went on, and a few minutes later, went out. Spike lit a ciggerette and continued on his way back to the lair. He thought of his boys there, much better then the ones he had before, and how they were sure to let him know whether or not the Slayer and her friends had found out anything about the Amuyuia.
Probably not, but it never hurt to be cautious. The time was coming soon, and he had to be sure that when it came no one would suspect what he was doing. Spike rubbed his face, as he walked on. Whenever he thought about what had to be done, he always thought of his Dark Princess. Dru had left him in Brazil, and Spike felt the memories flooding back to him
"The stars are talking to me Spike," Dru cooed softly.
"And what are they saying love?" Spike asked.
"That my Spike isn't meant for me, that he belongs to the Amuyuia. That he will give anything to possess it like it possesses him. The stars say that I no longer fill your heart Spike, and that when the time comes, you will be rewarded, but I won't."
"Well Pet, I'll have to reward you if they don't," Spike had said.
Dru hadn't said anything more about it then, but later he had found her with that sodding Chaos Demon, and had told him that she didn't want him if he didn't want her. Spike had looked at Dru for a few moments, before killing both her and the Chaos Demon. Spike had realized that he didn't want her anymore, hadn't really ever since Angelous had been sent to hell. After he killed Dru, he came back to Sunnyhell, knocked over the "Welcome to Sunnydale" sign, and had formed a new
set of minions, smarter then the ones he had before.
A few days later, he had seen the red headed witch and the moron out walking. He had knocked the moron out, and was going to drain the red head before finishing him off, but had changed his mind. Spike had always thought the red head was cute, and why not have a new Princess to rule with? Spike had come over to the red head, and was about to bite her to turn her when instead he just didn't. He left a nice size hickey on her neck, that's for sure, but he didn't bite her. There was something about the way her heart had been beating, the way she smelled, like peaches and pears, and the way her eyes had gone liquid green when he neared her that stopped him. Spike didn't think much of it though. It occurrred to him now that wouldn't it be great to see the Slayer's face when her best friend fell in love with her greatest enemy. Wouldn't Slutty be surprised when Willow was putting her arms around his waist, when Willow was his new Queen. Spike also realized that even if Willow was a vampire, the Slayer would never be able to stake her. Which left him in a position of total power. One he liked very much.

Willow had gone to the magic shop as soon as she had gotten up this morning. She was on summer break now, thankfully she could relax a little. Buffy, Riley, Anya, Xander, and Giles were already there when she walked in. Everyone said thier hellos, and Willow sat to return to the on going search for a mention of the Amuyu. All was silent for a long while before Xander thunked his book shut. Giles, Willow, and Anya looked up at him. Buffy and Riley had gone in back to train.
"There is nothing about a "Amuyu" here Giles. We have found an Amuya, an Amuyuia, an Amaryu, and an Amaurya, but no Amuyu. So when are we going to admit that we have nothing to go on except a bad piece of information?" Xander asked.
Giles took off his glasses and started to clean them. "I suppose that we could be wrong. I suggest that we find out what Spike is really up to, but until we do, keep researching this Amuyu in case we missed something. Willow, could you get on that dread machine and see if you can't find something?" Giles said.
Willow nodded and pulled out her laptop to research while Xander and Anya returned to thier books. Buffy and Riley returned and found out about the change in plans. They were sent to Willy's to see if they couldn't find something. Willow, in the meantime, was searching through her data bases and hadn't found anything. Willow decided to start a new search using different data bases, and if that didn't work, she would dig up some new ones. Willow tapped away on her computer when the shop's bell rand and a delivery man walked in holding a dozen red roses.
Giles turned to the delivery man, "Can I help you?"
The delivery man looked at Giles, "I'm looking for a Willow Rosenburg?"
Willow gazed at the delivery man, "I'm Willow Rosenburg."
The delivery man said, "These are for you," and handed the roses to Willow. "Hold on a sec while I get the others."
Willow's face expressed her confusion, "Others?" She turned to see the delivery man walk back in with a dozen white roses, a dozen pink roses, and a dozen yellow
roses. He handed them to her, and then left.
"Who are they from Wills?" Xander asked. Willow looked for a card. She finally found one.
"I don't know. The card reads, 'I didn't know what kind of roses you liked, so I got every kind they had. With Love, Your Secret Admirer," Willow answered.
Xander raised his eyebrows, "Sounds like someone's got the hots for you Wills. Or do you have a boyfriend that you aren't telling us about?"
Willow blushed as she answered, "No, I don't have a boyfriend." But inside, she was excited. *I wonder who they're from?* she thought.
Willow asked Giles for something to keep the roses in, and he gave her a large vase. Willow put water and sugar in it, and then added a few crystals that were supposed to keep flowers alive longer, and arranged the roses. Then she returned to her computer. But Willow's mind was no longer on her work. All she could think about was the roses and who might have sent them to her.
***************************************************************
Spike smiled to himself as he thought of the roses he had sent the red head today. She was going to love them, he knew it. Tomorrow, he was going to have to send her something more spectacular, and he wasn't quite sure what to send. He decided to ask his minion Tony, and see what he said. Tony had been quite the Don Juan when he was alive, and even now that he was undead he still had a knack for it. Spike smiled as he walked down the hallway of the lair to find Tony, he liked the fledgling, Tony reminded him of Dalton. Very quiet, but smart. Spike finally did find Tony, who was relaxing in his room.
"Tony, I have something to ask you," Spike growled at Tony.
Tony turned to look at Spike, fearing that he'd done something wrong. When he saw no anger on his Master's face, he relaxed. A little. "What can I do for you Master?" Tony asked.
"Well, there's this little red headed witch you see and...."

Willow had come to the magic shop again the next day. They hadn't found anything about this Amuyu thing, but Giles had discovered a prophecy that was supposed to take place in the next few days and they were now trying to find out the details about that. Willow felt guilty, she had spent a little time on her computer today and yesterday trying to discover who sent her the roses. Unfortunately, she had been unable to find anything.
The Scoobies were all researching as hard as ever when the same delivery man as yesterday walked in and asked, "Is there a Willow Rosenburg here?"
Willow raised her hand, "That'd be me."
The delivery man handed her a large box that was wrapped with silver colored paper and a huge bow and left. Willow sat the box, which was almost as big as she was, on the table. She looked at the others, who looked really curious as to what was in the box, and then turned to the package to see if there was a card. There was.
"What's it say Willow?" Buffy asked.
"It says, 'To my favorite Red Headed Witch, enjoy, with Love, Your Secret Admirer,' and then this this little symbol below it but I don't know what it is," Willow answered.
Giles came over and peered at the card, "Oh my, that's the symbol for protection. Whoever sent this is saying to stay safe."
Willow nodded her head, and Giles pondered who could have sent this, who knows that Willow was a witch besides those that were here? In the meantime, Xander and Buffy were telling Willow to open the package.
"Come on Wills, no time like the present to open presents," Xander said.
Both Willow and Buffy groaned at Xander attempt at humor, and Willow started pulling the paper off the box. Inside the paper the box was taped at the top and bottom. Willow used her keys to cut through the tape, and gasped as she open the flaps. Buffy and Xander leaned forward to see what was in it. Willow pulled out a huge stuffed panda bear, it was as big as the box, and held it in front of her to look at.
"Awww, ain't that sweet?" Buffy said, cooing over the large stuff toy. She turned to Riley, "How come you never get me gifts like that?" Riley turned his head, mentally telling himself to get her a present, and soon. Buffy had already turned back to Willow, who had just noticed that the bear was wearing a necklace. Willow pulled the necklace from the bear and examined it closely. It had her name, Willow, in puter letters and each letter was spaced with a shiny glass bead that changed colors depending on how you turned it. The necklace was on black string, and clasped in the back. Willow showed the neacklace to Anya and Buffy, who oed and awed over it.
"Isn't that romantic, you secret admirer made you a necklace," Buffy sighed. Riley was ready to kill this guy, he could see already how much money he was going to have to spend in order to get something to compare to Willow's present to Buffy.
Xander smiled and Giles cleared his throat.
"Yes, well, not to be rude or anything, but I think we should go back to the problem at hand."
The Scoobies returned to their seats, and Willow slide the necklace in her pocket. She would work on who sent this to her later.
***************************************************************
Spike watched Willow walk home in the dark carrying the large panda bear and noticed with some satisfaction that she was wearing the necklace. He had spent 3 hours trying to make the bloody thing, it took quite a bit of time getting those beads on the string, but he was happy that the necklace seemed to do the trick. Spike rushed off as soon as Willow walked in her door. He had more things to do tonight.
***************************************************************
Willow recieved more presents that week, one each day. There was flowers again, a box of candy, an expensive looking jewelry set that came in a box from the high priced jewelers in town, books of poetry, and what she loved the most, poetry from her admirer. He had written it himself, and Willow was thrilled at the sight of it. All the gifts were accompanied by a romantic note, all signed "Your Secret Admirer."
Needless to say, when the delivery man came for the 8th time, he simply walked over to Willow and handed her the box he was carrying.
Willow said, "Thank you," but the delivery man was already gone. Willow turned back to the table to see Buffy, Xander, and Anya all looking excited to see what today's gift would bring. Willow picked up the attached card and read it out loud, "Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things. To the beautiful Willow, with Love, Your Secret Admirer." Willow ripped the paper from the box, and then opened the box to find a water bowl, a wind up mouse, a food dish, a collar, some cat food, and a cat leash. She looked at the bottom of the box and saw another card there. The card said, "Look out back Love." Willow stood, and the rest of the Scooby gang followed her to the back door of the magic shop. Willow threw open the door, and sitting on the doorstep was a black kitten, curled up in a ball, and another note. Willow leaned over the kitten and picked it and the note up. The note read, "No proper witch, good or bad, should be without their cat. So here it is, lots of love, Your Secret Admirer." Willow turned the kitten to face her. It stretched in her hands and yawned, and opened its eyes. Willow gasped at the sight of the kittens eyes. Instead of green or yellow like most cats, the kitten had pure blue eyes. Willow ushered the cat back inside, and the rest of the Scooby gang oed and awed over the tiny thing. Giles looked at the cat, and petted it absentmindedly, and all the Scoobies leaned in, one at a time to pet he tiny kitten. When Buffy went to pet it though, the kitten hissed and moved away. Buffy drew her hand back, and Willow conforted the kitten. Buffy looked hurt.
Willow said, "Now Buffy, don't feel bad. You're the Slayer, and animals can sense anything magical, so it's probably not personal but the whole magic thing that weirded the kitten out. Give it some time, it will love you." Buffy accepted this as a reasonable explaination, but Anya was quiet. Even as a ex-demon, she could still feel the amount of magical energy coming off Willow at any time. And the kitten had no problem with her.
***************************************************************
Spike smiled to himself. That was a stroke of pure genius, getting Willow a kitten and training it before hand to dislike the Slayer. He chuckled as he walked towards Tony's room. As he walked into Tony's room, he looked to see Tony reading a book.
Tony looked up from his book, "Yes, what can I do for you?"
"I just need to know mate, is it time to reveil myself to her yet?" Spike asked.
Tony looked thoughtful, "Yes, now would be an ok time to reveil yourself, but make sure she's alone, and make sure you can convince her you really did send her those things."
Spike answered, "I already got that convered."
***************************************************************
Willow sat in her back garden with the kitten, playing with a piece of string. Willow would dangle it in front of the kitten, and the kitten would jump to try and catch it. Willow had finally decided on a name for the cat. Mischief. It was perfect,
the cat was always up to something or another. Willow pulled the string again, sending the kitten into another series of darts and whirls. Willow looked up suddenly. There was Spike, leaning against her back fence, looking so please with himself it was unreal. Willwo noticed something though. Instead of the usual black jeans, black boots, black t-shirt, red button down, and leather jacket, Spike was wearing black jeans, the black boots, and a black silk shirt. The jacket was draped over the fence, and Spike was studying her intensely.
"Did you like my gifts Pet?" Spike asked.
"Your gifts? You mean..." Willow said before Spike cut her off.
"Your hair is the color of fire, and your eyes are emeralds so deep and pure that they bring tears to my eyes. My blood burns for you, and my heart aches to have you here, to hold you in my arms," Spike quoted from the poetry that he sent Willow.
Willow blushed, how did he know that was her favorite of the poems he sent her? Spike had moved so now he was inches away from her.
"My love for you is legendary, and we will be together until the end of time. You are reason I keep living, you are my everything. I would die for you, I would give anything to hear whisper my name in love," Spike quoted on.
Willow whispered, "Spike," before he brought his lips to hers and gave her the sweetest, most tender kiss she had ever experienced. Willow parted her lips slightly, and Spike deepened the kiss at her invite. Mischief was watching the two with fasination. Willow pulled away from the kiss, gasping for air. Spike smiled at her.
"Now you know, I dream of you, and only you," Spike said.
Willow started to say something, before everything went black and she passed out.
***************************************************************
Hours later, Spike was waiting for Willow to wake up. He had brought her back to the lair, ordered everyone to stay away from her, and now sat on his bed holding her waiting for her to wake up. Spike didn't know why she had passed out like that.
He only knew that he wanted her to wake up. The red head was so warm in his arms. Spike loved her, he had only realized that when he had kissed her this evening.
Now he wanted to tell her that, and she was sleeping.
Willow started to open her eyes. She didn't recognize where she was at, she only knew that a pair of cool arms were holding her. She wiggled in the arms, trying to get more comfortable, and then she heard, "Now, none of that Red, unless you want me to throw you down right now and shag you senseless."
Willow's eyes flew open. She suddenly remembered the garden, kissing Spike,
and then passing out. She sat up, and looked around her. Spike smiled at her,
"Relax, your fine."
Willow did start to relax before asking, "Was it a joke? Did you really mean it?"
"Mean what Love? That I love you, that I want to spend the rest of my unlife with you? That I would never hurt you? Yes, I meant it," Spike answered.
Willow shook her head, "No, this is a joke, you didn't-"
"Willow," Spike turned Willow so that she was facing him, "I love you."
Willow could see that he was series from the look in his eyes, and she threw her arms around him, "I love you too, Spike."
Spike was surprised, how could the red head love him, she never spent that much time with him. "How?" he asked.
"It was the poetry, the stuff I knew you wrote. It was so beautiful, I fell in love with the writer. It didn't matter who the writer was, it was like they were speaking to me, to my soul, like they understood. I know it sounds weird, vampires don't have souls, it's just that I felt so connected to the writer just then, and then after I read it, it was like...." Willow started babbling, and Spike smiled. He knew what she was saying, he had felt like that too.
Spike leaned forward and kissed her, stopping her from saying anything more. It was a hard kiss, full of passion, and Spike started undressing the red head before pulling the covers up around them.
***************************************************************
Spike mummered, "I love you," before drifting off to sleep. Willow whispered, "I love you," back, and settled into his arms. They had just made love, and she felt like she was glowing. Spike pulled her closer to him, and Willow leaned her cheek against his chest. Her last thought before she feel asleep was, *Oh, how I love this man.*
