Will Wonders Never Cease?
Giles’ focus on the modern dance recital was shattered when a rather explosive snort came from the seat beside him. He looked over and found Buffy sound asleep and gently snoring. Willow stifled a giggle and elbowed Xander in the ribs, and pointed out the snoring Slayer; Xander smirked and did the same to Anya. The younger people broke into a fit of barely controlled laughter. The Watcher rolled his eyes and returned to the performance
A small blonde woman in a pink leotard and tutu gracefully glided across the stage to her partner. Her lips touched his in a delicate kiss, and he embraced her dramatically. Suddenly the blonde dancer’s face morphed and she flung herself at his neck.
Giles jumped from his seat, stake at the ready when he noticed the vampire had not bitten her partner, but only acted as if she had. It was part of the dance. He sat down again, chagrined. He checked his program and for the first time noticed the name of the dance troupe "The Sunnydale Undead Dance Ensemble"
"Well, what do you know" he said to himself and settled down to enjoy the rest of the performance.

Later, after the dance recital, the Scoobies sat comfortably in the Bronze, discussing the night’s events.
"G-man, I can’t believe that you didn’t notice it was a vampire dance troupe." Said Xander "It was all over the program."
Giles was about to answer the younger man when Willow came back to the table bearing a tray full of drinks.
"Ok," she said setting down her burden and doling out the beverages. "Xander, chocolate milkshake. Anya, lemonade. Buffy, Diet Coke. me, iced tea and Giles a double-tall low-fat half-caf latte. When did you start drinking fancy coffee Giles?"
"It was when I was performing at the Espresso Pump." He replied smiling fondly at the memory "They paid in coffee rather than in cash and I developed a taste."
"Well, will wonders never cease" Willow replied giving Giles a bright smile and taking her seat. She touched his hand casually "Did I ever tell you how much I enjoyed your singing?"
Just then, a familiar, bouncy song filled the room. "Ooo! I love this song!" interrupted Anya and scampered out onto the dance floor to the strains of Britney Spears’ "Oops I Did It Again"
"Britney Spears is the bane of the children of America" asserted Buffy.
"No it’s not" contradicted Xander. "It’s PBS children’s programming that is doing the damage. Just think about it. Sesame Street has created generations of adults with attention spans of no more that two minutes."
"You are way off base Xander." Argued Buffy "Children’s programming on PBS fosters an early learning curve in the pre-k set and promotes acceptance of differences in others and cultural diversity."
"Cultural diversity pfah, it only serves to promote the leftist liberal agenda. The whole Barney "I love you, you love me" thing is nothing but pure propaganda.
Willow looked at Giles "they are going to be at this for hours, you want to get out of here?"
"Yes, lets." He said standing.
"Cool. My I’m house-sitting for my parents while they are in Gdansk and there’s a Sally Field retrospective on Nick at Night. Why don’t you come over and we’ll make fun of her wimple in ‘The Flying Nun’,"
"I’d like that" Giles said smiling warmly at Willow and taking her hand.
The little redhead returned his smile with one of her own and led the Watcher across the dance floor. They heard the raised voice of Xander carrying across the music as they left.
"It’s all about the psycho-social interactions of the Muppets…"
